24 weeks

Boy oh Boy
We may have a feisty one on our hands for sure.
He may or may not have inherited that from Mommy.

We went for a check up on Thursday, he was NOT happy when trying to listen to his heartbeat.
We heard plenty of kicks and watched him little shoot from one side to the other.
Finally, after a little hide and seek, the doctor decided his heart was just fine.

Collin also scored an awesome toy for his room this weekend, from none other than Cracker Barrel. We fell in love with some old model airplane ride ons, but not so crazy about $100 for them. We turned the corner and found a sock monkey rocking horse instead, on clearance of course!

I have officially gotten to the full blown pregnancy symptoms stage.  Waking up all times of the night, having him camp out on my bladder, full blown exhaustion, and swelling like a balloon if it gets above 70.  I just have to laugh at myself and keep going.

This week is going to be a trying one for us as a family.  Scotty took a new job that will move us home! FINALLY!! So far we have been beyond blessed. Everything has worked out beautifully.  The down side is, Scotty will be leaving on Monday to start his new job, and I will still be here. 26 weeks round. Alone.  It won't be too bad. I will be flying home for a Spring Break after only 4 days.  Then we will be back and forth, mom and Emily will be coming to stay too.  And I will get to move home at 34 weeks so it really won't be that long at all. I am thankful it has worked out so well.  I know I will be fine, but I hate that he will miss even a second of it all.

Since he will be leaving on Monday, we decided to go ahead and schedule our 3D/4D ultrasound for this weekend so we could enjoy it together. I am super excited.  He didn't show off much at our 20 week ultrasound and we didn't get a good profile shot.  I have high hopes this time around, and I just love seeing him. Of Course.  The way he moves all day we may not get any good shots of him, but instead an action filled video.

My shower is also coming up while I am at home for Spring Break, I am more excited than I thought I would be.  I guess since I haven't seen anyone it will be exciting to see everyone and have the shower.  I've also held off on shopping until we see what all we get so I will be given the green light to shop afterwards.

23 weeks

I like answering the same questions every week, but I feel like I have the same answers every week. So, this week I'm working without the survey.

This week I have truly felt pregnant for the first time. I know I know its about time. This week I've been struck with swelling, back aches, exhaustion, and heartburn all at once.

Collin is soooo low
I don't have the typical round bump, instead he's looking more like a nice little fat roll. Not so cute.

He's also decided that his favorite thing to do is lay on my bladder.

But I cant complain he's happy and healthy.  He loves to let me know when its time to eat and kicks like crazy when all my students come in and give hugs in the morning. He's still the most active at night right around bedtime especially when Daddy starts talking.

Its been a precious week, I cannot wait for our checkup on Thursday. Its all flying by so fast.

20-22 weeks

How far along? 22 weeks

Maternity clothes? A mix of both pants, still normal tops

Sleep: Still sleeping pretty well, except on the weekends.

Best moment this week: Well the past few weeks have been full of wonderful moments. Mr. Collin is an active little booger.  He is still laying across my stomach and will kick on one side while wiggling on the other.  Scotty has finally started being able to feel him move and I am actually seeing him.  As I type this he is kicking away on the computer.

Miss Anything? Not at all. Well maybe coffee on a few of these early, sleepy Monday mornings.
We've got some serious SWELLING going on, but not in my feet. Its my nose(and arms and well my entire body)! I have the "I'm pregnant and its a boy nose" Luckily it comes and goes.

Movement:Baby is quite the mover and shaker these days. He is all over the place especially around 8:00 am, when I get home in the afternoons, and at bed time.  He still calms down and gets shy when Daddy is around, but will kick and squirm when you talk to him.

Food cravings: It comes and goes. No die hard gotta have it cravings yet.

Anything making you queasy or sick: I've gotten over that for the most part.

Gender:
We can officially say: ITS A BOY!!

Labor Signs:
none for a while I hope

Belly Button in or out?
In and stretching every day

Wedding rings on or off? On

Mood:
 feeling really blessed right now.

Looking forward to:
My 24 week appointment on Thursday

Sending out Shower invitations

Gender Reveal

February 11th was quite the exciting day.
We were excited to see our sweet baby for the first time in  3 months, and make sure everything looked perfect.  We OF COURSE couldn't wait to see if we were going to be surrounded by sugar and spice or snakes and snails.

We ran home from the appointment, both glowing, of course.  Scotty ran by to pick up balloons while I flew home to get everything ready. You can see by the pictures that we were battling some dark clouds and rain the entire time.

But it all worked out wonderfully (aside from some technical difficulties) and we were able to share with all our family and friends the big news.

Collin Reid, Mommy and Daddy cannot wait to meet you sweet boy!
